Several Future Dynamics members attended a Business Networking Event sponsored by the Kawartha Lakes  Chapter of Toastmasters International.  John C. Rich, author of  Beyond Relationship Selling provided the keynote address:  Communications to Build Your Business and Enhance Your Career. John an engaging, lively speaker gave concrete examples of effective communication in business and how even the meaning of a word can be altered by tone, gestures, and facial expressions. John endorsed Toastmasters International as a place to be able to practice in a safe supportive setting while stepping outside your comfort zone and into your growth zone.

Some Future Dynamics members were awarded a free signed copy of John's book for stepping out of their comfort zone, and delivering a short impromptu speech on one of their "firsts". As John says " There's no growth in your comfort zone and no comfort in your growth zone!" What are you doing in your growth zone?
